Honeysuckle Veterinary Rehabilitation Centre

Emma Hughes RVN A1

Emma joined the practice in 1995 having studied Animal Care at Kingston Maurward College. She qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2000 and subsequently became an NVQ assessor. Emma shares her time between nursing duties and working in the hydrotherapy pool.

Formerly an active member of the local Young Farmers Club and stalwart of the ladies tug of war team, her energies are now directed towards her young family, Ellie and Harry, and looking after husband Gary.

In her spare time Emma enjoys baking, cooking and running.

Kelly Dewsnip MSc MCSP ACPAT ‘A’

Kelly joined the team at Girling and Bowditch in 2009 after working in mixed human and veterinary practice for 5 years. Chartered Veterinary Physiotherapists are first required to train in human physiotherapy, and go on to specialise in veterinary physiotherapy. Kelly graduated with an MSc in veterinary physiotherapy from the Royal Veterinary College, London, with a research project into Canine Gait.

With a keen interest in small animal orthopaedics, Kelly leads the team in our Rehabilitation Centre which now includes a water treadmill as well as our purpose built hydrotherapy pool. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys scuba diving and triathlon.
