Payment and Prescriptions

Clients are politely requested to settle their accounts at the time of each consultation, or on collection of their pet after any procedure.

This applies to both insured and un-insured pets. We provide estimates before undertaking all operations and procedures.

Payments may be made in cash, by cheque (supported with a valid cheque card), by debit card or credit card.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Delta, American Express and Solo cards.

For repeat prescriptions or written prescriptions we need 24 hours notice – please telephone the surgery to place your order to ensure we have your medication available and to save you an unnecessary journey. Persons over the age of 18 years only may collect prescriptions.

It is a legal requirement that a Veterinary Surgeon examines your pet every six months; this is to ensure the current dosage of their medication is still accurate, and to check your pet’s progress in case their medication needs changing or the dosage needs altering. We automatically look at your pet’s history when you place an order for a prescription to check your pet has been seen within the last six months; if your pet has been seen by a Vet for a vaccination or other problem this will count as an examination as this is a requirement when Vets consult your pet. If you have not been seen by a Vet within the last six months you will be asked to make an appointment for a prescription check.
